Welcome to the 100th episode of the WAM podcast! On today’s show, host Frances Brunelle welcomes Elisabeth Weissenrieder-Bennis, the Executive Vice President of Weiss-Aug. Weiss-Aug is a company that provides custom insert molding, precision metal stamping, and assembly solutions to the automotive, medical, electronic, and semi-conductor industries. Beth has had over 15 years in the metal forming industry. Weiss-Aug has also experienced substantial growth over the last decade with leading and launching plants in both Mexico and locally in NJ for a life science division focused on surgical devices. She is very passionate about promoting women in manufacturing. In 2017 she was named Metal Forming Magazine’s Woman of Excellence in Metal Forming and Fabricating. Elisabeth Weissenrieder-Bennis
Beth has over 15 years of experience in the metalforming industry working with clients in the automotive, aerospace and the medical device markets. Her father started the company over 45 years ago, and Beth spent many summers in nearly every department of the company in her youth. After college, she worked elsewhere for a couple of years before joining Weiss-Aug in a marketing role, alongside her brother and husband as well. The company experienced tremendous growth over the past decade, with Beth leading and launching plants in both Mexico and a new division focused on surgical devices in NJ. The Weiss-Aug Group now has 6 locations (5 in the US) and is building a 3rd plant in NJ.
Beth is very passionate about manufacturing and promoting women in MFG. In 2017 she was one of the Metalforming Magazine’s “Women of Excellence in Metalforming and Fabricating”. She also is a member of the Board of Visitors at the Newark College of Engineering of NJIT where she advocated for hands-on learning and the successful launch of NJIT”s Makerspace. The Weiss-Aug Group is a proud member of WIM, PMA, and MAPP. Beth is a busy working mom with 3 children. (1yr old, 6 yr old and 11 yr old)
