Tuesday June 23, 2015 – In this episode we discuss the status of the reauthorization of the ExIm Bank. The federal bank is on the verge of losing its charter as Congress disputes whether the government should continue to support a financial institution that supports over one million jobs in the U.S., contributes over a half-billion dollars to the U.S. treasury, and facilitates the sales of billions of dollars in U.S. goods to overseas buyers. Dan Clifton, head of Policy Research for Strategas, an institutional investment firm joins us with Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, Representative for Michigan’s 12th congressional district and Linda Dempsey, Vice President of International Economic Affairs at the National Association of Manufacturers to discuss the obstacles and benefits of the reauthorization.
