Ms. Coates is the Executive Director of the Reshoring Institute and the President of Blue Silk Consulting, a Global Supply Chain consulting firm. She is a best-selling author of: 42 Rules for Sourcing and Manufacturing in China and 42 Rules for Superior Field Service and The Reshoring Guidebook.
Ms. Coates lives in Silicon Valley and has worked with over 80 clients worldwide. She is also an Expert Witness for legal cases involving global supply chain matters. She is passionate about Reshoring.
Shirley Dewi
Shirley Dewi is the Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance and Client Services for IAPMO R&T. In these roles, she is responsible for maintaining accreditations for IAPMO, overseeing the operations of ISO Management Systems Registration Services, Supply Chain Services program, and the operations of Indonesia facility. Prior to joining IAPMO in 2007, Dewi was the Quality Manager for Bericap North America. She has been in quality-assurance industry for more than 20 years and in the third-party conformity assessment industry for more than 15 years.
Dewi is one of IAPMO’s key staff in the Water for Indonesia Now (WIN) Project, an effort supported by the United States Agency for International Development (US AID) and the International Trade Administration (ITA) to promote plumbing system standardization to ensure safe water delivery for Indonesian citizens.
Dewi’s experience includes comprehensive knowledge of conformity assessment body operations, certification scheme development, and quality assurance. In recent years, she has helped IAPMO in the establishment of Indonesia facility as well as adding Mexico (NOM) product certification program, Aerospace management system program, and supply chain services program. She is the liaison for IAPMO with accreditation bodies and government agencies, such as the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), Standards Council of Canada (SCC), Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación (EMA), U.S. EPA WaterSense® program, Badan Standardisasi Nasional (BSN), the city of Los Angeles and the state of Florida. She also serves as the voting member on the ANAB Accreditation Committee and the Vice Chair of the California Inland Empire District Export Council.
